In year 2007, China Art Institute has programmed 8 museums for 8 individual Chinese artists in Qingchengshan, Chengdu in southwest China.
Among these 8 artists, Wu Shanzhuan is the only conceptual artist whose work interpret or re-interpret our daily life stretched from early 80’s, the very beginning of Chinese contemporary art era.

The Master-of-the-Nets Garden, or Wang Shi Yuan, was first laid out during the Sung Dynasty (960-1279) but was later abandoned. In designing the library, my purpose was to make people aware that they live between mountains and water, which is the garden style of Suzhou. Backed by a mountain full of bamboo in the north and facing a lake that used to be a disposed brickfield in the south, the slope site descends southward with a difference of four meter in the level. The province of Guangdong and the municipalities of Guangzhou wish to build a new, prestigious congress centre to meet the considerable demand for international and national conferences, the extensive meetings of the provincial and municipal governments and the growing demand for commercial fairs and cultural manifestations.
